The Eastcastle Place Health and Rehabilitation Center Sets the Bar High

“We’re excited and proud, but not surprised,” said Tyler Gudex, executive director of Eastcastle Place senior living community in Milwaukee.

The Eastcastle Place Health and Rehabilitation Center has just achieved its third consecutive deficiency-free survey by the Division of Quality Assurance, Wisconsin Department of Health. State surveys are conducted annually at Medicare and Medicaid certified nursing homes in order to assure that federal standards are being maintained. In what is a thorough process, the survey team looks at the care of residents, clinical records, environment and more.

“The survey is rigorous and we’re told by the surveyors that on average, Wisconsin nursing homes receive between 8-12 deficiencies on each of their surveys. And yet we have been deficiency-free, not just one or two, but for three successive years! This is a strong testament to how our entire team cares for the residents on a day-to-day basis. We’ve really set the bar for consistent quality in health care very high and we work hard and are dedicated to maintaining that standard,” said Gudex. “We are among an elite group of the very best service providers. We are proud that our residents and their loved ones can have complete confidence in benefiting from our unsurpassed care.”
